Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Welcome to our programme: Spiritual Wellness.
Whereby every Monday we will be talking about spiritual growth, how to be in the Lord and stay active in him. Spiritual Wellness is an activity/process where you discover your life's
meaning through the word of God by reading and putting into action the scripturesor the articles that help align you to God's purpose so you're able to walk in the will of God and most importantly, experience the Lord Jesus Christ
in your life and building a relationship with him.
This week's topic is about the MATTERS OF THE SPIRIT.
Good day, I’m so glad to see you again. How are you doing today? Hopefully you were truthful and bought the book.
Before we start today’s conversation let’s pray: Father Lord Jesus we call unto you in this day as we’re about to talk about matters of the spirit, mostly we’re going to talk about you, we ask as you’ve promised us in the book
of Mathew 18:20 when 2 or 3 gather in your name, you will be in their mist so today Lord Jesus Christ be with us as you promised. Holy spirt please teach us and lead us; we will obey. Thank you, Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Last week I mentioned that ‘God heard my cry while being in the kingdom of darkness, God’s ears are not limited from hearing you from whenever you are chained in life, He’ll hear you even the scariest situation”, Today we’re
talking about crying and trust. You know this saying we often say whenever we feel something isn’t right or when we trying to console ourselves because of a situation, we would say ‘Crying doesn’t help( ukukhala akusizi)’
so when I hear someone saying those word ‘ukukhala akusizi’ I say this ‘wena ukukhala ku muntu o-wrong,kumela ukhala ku nkulunkulu’ meaning you’re crying to the wrong person, you’re supposed to be crying to God.
Yes, we tend to cry to the wrong people thinking they’ll help us of which us crying unto them is what we’re not supposed to be doing. Remember me and you have a God who is always waiting to hear our cries and come to the rescue.
My question to you is who are crying to when life hits you hard, when all seems blurry and foggy and you can’t see your way out of a situation, who do you cry to because crying goes with trust, I cant cry to someone I don’t trust,
I cry to someone whom I trust of which God Is the one I cry to.
Lets look at this verse (Psalm 142:1) 'I cry aloud to the LORD; I lift up my voice to the LORD for mercy.'
2 I pour out before him my complaint; before him I tell my trouble.
3 When my spirit grows faint within me, it is you who watch over my way. In the path where walk people have hidden a snare for me.
4 Look and see, there is no one at my right hand; no one is concerned for me. I have no refuge; no one cares for my life.
5 I cry to you, LORD; I say, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.”
6 Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need to rescue me from those who pursue me, for they are too strong for me.
7 Set me free from my prison, that I may praise your name. Then the righteous will gather about me because of your goodness to me.
In this verse we just read David is talking about how he cried unto and how is life was at that moment, he cried unto God because he trusts God and who do you trust about your situation, who is that one person you who
will come to your aid. Trust is expensive especially when you trust no one but only trusting God. David is crying to the Lord telling God of his troubles and what is happening to him when his spirit was growing faint for no one cared
about his life and God was his refuge. You see that the person that you’re crying to is supposed to be your refuge, your redeemer, your rock but instead the people you been crying to were none of this, instead of them coming to your aid
they drink tea with your troubles and meaningless conversations about you as none of them being your redeemer, your refuge, your rock. David realised that realised that people cannot be what God is to him and that they don’t care about his life but God does care hence he cries to God.
Would like you to recall\remember the times you had placed your trust on that person and you cried unto him\her because your situation was to much, when you could not sleep at night, when day and night were the same to you. Think of how deep you situation was, think of painful it was when no one understood
your trouble, only thing they told you was ‘uzoba strong meaning you’ll be strong’, just when you need Somone to come to your aid and they tell that. Now take pain and direct to God, think of how God ready to hear your cry, God will not judge you, God will not tell you excuses, God cares about you.
Imagine yourself in Jesus’s feet and you crying to Him, telling him everything that troubles you, letting out your chest in full, trusting God to help you in your case for your situation is Jesus’s case. He’s the one who will help you.
Remember you need to trust Him that will do it, you need to believe in Jesus. Yes, God can do it. Yes, God hears you; Yes, Jesus’s loves you, yes, He hears you even right now as you’re asking those questions in your heart.
Before I teach you about Trusting God, here’s a task in the meantime, ask yourselves these questions and look at the following verses:
What is trust?
Do I trust God?
Why trust God and not trust people(man)?
Verse to read:
Exodus 2
Exodus 14
Judges 3:9
Judges 6:7
1 Samuel 7:9
1 Chronicles 5:20
2 Chronicles 13:14

For today we’re going pause here, meditate on those verses.
Before you go offline let’s thank the Lord.
