Spiritual Wellness: Season Strategies

Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ who died for us on the cross, for by his blood we were bought and our sins were forgiven and so I greet you. This is the day the lord has made and we shall rejoice and be glad in it.

I can feel the excitement boiling in my veins as we are left with 2 days for 2026 then we say “happpppppyyyyy neeewwww yeeeaaar!”. Last week we said “new year means new goals, new life, rebuilding and starting afresh and what we couldn’t do this year-we can do it next year”. From what we said you’ll choose your theme for the year.

Oh wait a minuteL let’s not allow excitement to derail us from praying, let’s pray: Father Lord Jesus Christ, we call unto your name to give you the thanks and worship for all and everything you’ve done in our lives and thank you for what you’re about to do in our lives, Lord Jesus Christ we thank you oh King of kings. Only you alone deserve our worship oh Lord, thank you Lord Jesus Christ and we say Amen and Amen.

What a year it has been, 2025 has taught us individually different lessons and revealed unto us people whom we can trust and those we need to let go of, I mean a lot happened this year and yet here I’m with you still standing as if nothing happened to us and that’s because of the God given strength that we have. Many have wished to see this day, many wanted to do the count down we’re doing today for the new year but they couldn’t do it because their time was cut short and yet me and you are still here, thus meaning we need to take our lives serious and do the best we can by how we can and when we can. For this will ensure that the visions and missions we have are completed with utmost respect and appreciation thus prompting us to have a productive year.

Us having a productive year doesn’t mean we are not going to face challenges, we will face challenges and when we face them, we need to be strong and wise, not forgetting to be prayerful and seek council were necessary so we can move forward.

You see the excitement we have for 2026? It is great and beautiful but we tend to forget that excitement doesn’t carry us throughout the year. Excitement fades away like matchstick smoke and left holding a burnt matchstick. And that’s the mistake we constantly repeat every year by starting the year with excitement and thinking that excitement will carry us throughout the year. Yes you can be excited for 2026 it’s fine, enjoy the moment before it expires. One of the things that cause us to stumble when the year starts is that excitement we carry into a new season because instead of plans and strategies for the visions we carry, we tend to carry expired moments into a new season.

In simple terms what I’m saying is that don’t let excitement blindfold you to an extent that you have plans without strategies. A person who is blindfolded by excitement is the type of a person who says “ 2026 I want to loose weight, 2026 I want to study, 2026 I will leave all bad friends who influence me to do wrong things, 2026 I want to build my relationship with God” then come 2026 January, everything that was said has no strategy of coming into fruition yet that person expects to loose weight, expects to study, expects to leave bad friends and expects to build a relationship with God with no strategies at all. Do you see yourself in that type of a person who is blindfolded by excitement?

James 1:22: ”But be ye doers of the word, and not be hearers only, deceiving your own selves”.

God wants you to be the doers of the word not just listeners but. Teach yourself to speak words that you can action, if you know you can’t do the word don’t speak it because you’ll be toiling away your energy. By being the doer of what you say, it automatically pushes you to what you ought to be according to your vision and the Will of God, but when you’re just someone who speaks and not take action, you’re just deceiving yourself and self-deceive is the biggest and first way to throw yourself in a pit of regrets.

As it is the last Monday today someone is regretting some few things about 2025 and that person’s regret is about things said to be done but none of the things were done, not even an inch. So be a doer more than a listener and you’ll see yourself progress accordingly and another important thing is that in 2026 don’t compare your progress with anyone else, you can only compare yourself with the old version of you and by so doing you’ll be able to confront even the scariest parts of yourself that you alone know, so keep it mind-self comparison is best.

And when you start actioning what you’ve uttered with your mouth ensure you move in silence- not drawing attention to your plans because attention means disturbance, of which disturbance isn’t what you need in this new season of your life. You know there’s hidden secret about writing things down, writing things down works for me because whatever it is that I write it comes into fruition regardless of how long takes coming into fruition. Writing things down helps you believe it even more that it’s already done, so what I’m saying is that write down everything you want to accomplish in this season and include even the plan and strategies as to how you want to accomplish. This will help you to keep track of your own progress. Also write down things that distracted you in 2025 to ensure the same distractions don’t repeat themselves.

Habakkuk 2:2” And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.” Oh I love this verse. Write the vision so that it may come to pass. The moment you write it down your belief becomes amplified.

Psalm 32:8 ”I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye”. With all that you’ve planned for the new season let God guide you and let Him watch over as he has promised you in the book of Psalm 32:8, don’t try to be your own guide let God be your guide throughout your journey and always guard your heart.

You are going to have wonderful cross over to the new year with your family, can’t wait to see you in 2026. I pray that God elevate you and keep you strong and safe in this coming season, may your plans come to pass and see yourself progress, I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that your relationship with God is made strong and yield results, Lord Jesus Christ I thank you for the soul reading this prayer and we say Amen and Amen.
